Oasis Cafe and Hookah Lounge

I was extremely excited when I heard that a hookah lounge was opening in Kennesaw! I tried it out with friends and found that Oasis was sadly not that great.

First- the service is always sub par. It feels like it takes a considerable amount of time for the staff to give you menus, take orders, and check up on you. They simply do not come to your table. Rarely does anyone come to the table to rotate coals... they don't even leave you with a pair of tongs to do it yourself. When the staff does come to your table, they are often unprofessional. I have never had a good reason to leave a decent tip. The Oasis Facebook page is often contradictory to what actually happens in at the lounge. For example, the page will advertise "5 dollar hookahs tonight only- mention ad." Whenever I go to the bar and mention that add, they said that somebody lied and would not honor the promotion. This has happened more than once.

As for the actual products, the shisha and hookahs they carry (to smoke and to sell) are good brands. The quality of the smoking experience itself is terrible. The first few minutes of smoking (usually with a KM hookah and/or al fakher or starbuzz shisha) was pleasurable. After that, my group and I always starts feeling sick... and I mean extremely sick. We get headaches and sometimes nausea. We went last night (1/4/12) and upon returning home, my friend had a headache that turned into a migraine that eventually lead to vomiting. We own our own hookahs, shisha and coals and we have never been sick like that.

To my understanding, while smoking shisha (to avoid getting sick), you are supposed to keep yourself hydrated by drinking water. A bottle of water at Oasis costs $2 (no tap water is offered at all. Must buy bottled water). Similarly, they do not allow outside drinks... How are you supposed to hydrate yourself with one 16.9 ounce $2 bottle of water. It is outrageous.

Overall, this place is not worth the money, time, or inevitable sickness that comes with it. Me and the rest of my hookah smoking friends will never return to this place and I will be alerting others of our extremely common experiences here.

I love oasis! The food is delicious & the atmosphere is great! The staff are all friendly & very knowledgeable about their hookahs, they will help you pick a great flavor if needed because there's over 100 to choose from! My friends and I will definitely be back (:

Came here with three other friends, we had a great time and the food was good. A lot of hookahs to choose from.

Knowlegable staff, and excelent food and hookah. Best prices in town, worth the drive from Cartersville.

have been to many other hookah bars before but have not gone to a single other one since discovering this place back in March. Belly dancer is spectacular with her fire show. Philly Cheese Steaks cant be beat. they have over 100 flavors and the hookahs were only $5 dollars.
